There are 3 ways of erasing the background of images:
1. Using the Magic Wand selection tool.
2. Using the Erase/Paint Bucket tool.
3. Using “Color Cut” feature, in the “Color” tab under ”Layers”.
—————————————————————————————————————————————————
1. Using the Magic Wand selection tool:
1.1: Press on the Magic Wand selection tool icon (Under “Raster Graphic”).
1.2: Set the scope to “Object Content”.
1.3: Press once on the image on the background you want to remove.
1.4: Adjust the Tolerance value and set the value of Expand and Blur to 1.1 (this will make the edges a little smoother).
1.5: If more background need to be removed, press on them holding down “Shift+A” to add to the selection.
1.6: Press the Delete key and you are done.

2. Using the Erase/Paint bucket paint tools:
2.1: Press the Erase tool icon (Under “Raster Graphic”) and set the “Tool” drop down box to “Paint Bucket”.
2.2: Press on the canvas the places you want to remove. If too much or little is being removed, you'll need to adjust the Tolerance value, it's a slider called “Tolerance & Color”.
Alternatively, do the same by pressing on the Paint Bucket tool icon:
2.1: Press the Paint Bucket tool icon and set the “Mode” drop down box to “Erase” or pick an empty color (the small box with a red line, inside the Color Tool window).
2.2 Same as before.

3. Using the Layer “Color Cut”:
3.1: Press on the image object and select “Edit Layers”.
3.2: Go to tab “Color” and turn it on. At the bottom of the panel you'll find “Color Cut”.
3.3: Press on the color icon and pick the white color. All the white color of the image will now disapear.
3.4: Adjust the slider to remove less/more white color. A value of 120 is usually sufficient.
3.5: If you give the object a little blur, f.ex the value 1.3, the edges of the remaining image will be more smooth. To give the object blur, press the first tool icon “Move and transform object”, go to tab “P2″.

Checkout these advanced features of the Paint Bucket tool:
If the checkbox “Post adjustment” is set, you'll be able to adjust tool parameters even after you pressed on the canvas. The operation will be performed again automaticaly with the new settings.
Sometimes it's a good idea to add a little blur or glow when working with the Paint Bucket tool. Glow: Just set the glow values X, Y and Strength and uncheck the “Inner” checkbox. If the before mentioned “Post adjustment” checkbox is set, it will be much easier to find the correct settings to get the result you want.
We will soon release some new videos showing stuff. In the meantime check the old videos in the Help page. The videos “Vector Clipart for kids” shows how to use the Paint bucket tool.
