This is supposed to be quite easy, but I got an email from an user that spent 4 hours trying to figure this out… This is the question I got today:

“I have been  up for the past 4 hrs trying to figure out how do I save the text logo I made without the background. I'm trying to add the text words to my site but the canvas background is saved with the text words…I'm trying to figure out how do i save the text words only because my website already have a sold background color i'm just trying to add text words to the background…”

All you have to do to save the text object as an image is this:

1: Select the text object.

2: Go to menu “File” on top of the window and select “Save object as an image file”.

3: A “Save as Image” dialog window will open. Choose “Save on our computer”. Select the image format “PNG”.

PS: Make sure the text object don't have any background color (The default). Also, the “Save as Image” can be found on the action menu that shows up when pressing on objects on the page.
