This is basic stuff, but I just got a question from someone that was having problems saving an image with transparent background…

“Help!  When I go to download a file to my computer, I have to choose a background color before it can be sent.  But there is no clear/transparent background choice”

My answer:

“It's because you have selected “JPG” image format which does not support transparent… For transparent background you need to select “PNG” image format for saving.”

PNG format is widely used image format with support for transparency, but it is not a vector format (Fatpaint does not support vector formats).
